Alara Şehitler has been called up to the Germany senior team, the German Football Association (DFB) confirmed on Friday morning. The 18-year-old FC Bayern Women midfielder is promoted to head coach Christian Wück's squad following Marie Müller's withdrawal due to injury. Şehitler will join up with the senior squad on Saturday in Nuremberg, where Germany Women take on Austria in their first home game of the year in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday (18:15 CET). The 18-year-old was originally selected for the U23s and scored two goals in their 3-2 win over England on Thursday evening.
