Armindo Sieb: 2nd Bundesliga goal vs. St. Pauli
Armindo Sieb and Mainz 05 enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 victory at promoted side St. Pauli on Saturday evening. The forward started for Bo Henriksen's side and netted the second goal of the day in the 16th minute following Jonathan Burkardt's early opener (6').
After being played in by a brilliant through ball from Nadiem Amiri, the 21-year-old kept his composure in front of goal to give the Rhineland-Palatinate club a 2-0 lead. Burkardt's second goal in the second half wrapped up the three points for Mainz. Sieb played 64 minutes on Matchday 6, covered a distance of 8.04 kilometres and touched the ball 31 times. After his goal in the 3-2 win at Augsburg two weeks ago, it was the second Bundesliga goal of his career.
Bryan Zaragoza: 1st assist vs. Getafe
Following the impressive 4-2 success over Barcelona, Osasuna and Bryan Zaragoza registered a 1-1 draw against Getafe last weekend. The winger made his seventh start of the season for the Pamplona club against José Bordalás' side and was again involved in a goal, setting up Ante Budimir for the equaliser in the 60th minute. Zaragoza was brought off in the 78th minute of the match. The 23-year-old's impressive performances in recent weeks have earned him a recall to the Spanish senior team – congratulations, Bryan!
Paul Wanner: 1 goal vs. Olimpija Ljubljana
There was a special occasion for Heidenheim and Paul Wanner last Thursday as the club played its first ever European home match in the UEFA Conference League against Olimpija Ljubljana. Adrian Beck gave the Bundesliga newcomers the lead early on but Álex Blanco equalised for the visitors from Slovenia. However, substitute Wanner netted the winning goal with a penalty rebound to earn Frank Schmidt's men their first three points on the European stage. Just three days later, Heidenheim went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to RB Leipzig, with Wanner starting and playing 83 minutes. The 18-year-old is in the Germany U21 squad for the forthcoming internationals.
Taichi Fukui: Man of the match vs. AVS Futebol
Taichi Fukui and Arouca shared the points in the Portuguese Primeira Liga at the weekend. Jason put the Lobos in front against AVS Futebol on the half-hour mark before Gustavo Assuncao equalised through a penalty in the 77th minute. Japanese U21 international Fukui played the full game, successfully completed 88 percent of his passes and was crowned Man of the Match for his display. Arouca sit 13th in the table after eight matchdays with seven points and return to action after the international break with a cup tie against SC Maria da Fonte.
