Information on Accessibility

FC Bayern Munich (hereinafter referred to as "FCB") is committed to making its website and mobile applications accessible. In doing so, FCB is guided by the provisions of the Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz - BFSG), which came into force on June 28, 2025, and the associated Regulation to the Accessibility Improvement Act (Verordnung zum Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz - BFSGV), which implements the underlying Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act). This is intended to ensure digital accessibility for people with disabilities.

This information on digital accessibility applies to the FC Bayern München AG website published under the domain "https://fcbayern.com" and the subpages listed below:

General description of the services

FCB offers comprehensive information and digital services relating to the club, in particular football, on its websites and mobile applications. This includes, among other things:

  • Current news about the club, players and teams
  • Information about the club, its history, social projects and FCB's commitment
  • Information on matches, tables and results
  • Sale of tickets
  • Access to the online store where fan merchandise can be purchased
  • Services for members and fans
  • Digital content, such as videos, press conferences and interviews

The services are aimed at all interested parties, regardless of origin, age or ability. The aim is to make the content and functions as accessible and user-friendly as possible.

Status of compatibility with accessibility requirements

The accessibility of the FCB's websites and mobile applications is an integral part of the ongoing development process. To this end, we are pursuing a continuous improvement process to increase digital accessibility in order to gradually eliminate identified deficits and shortcomings. Many areas of the websites and mobile applications are already very accessible and largely meet the applicable requirements for digital accessibility.

The criteria for assessing accessibility are the success criteria of the international accessibility standards, the standards of WCAG 2.2 and the European standard EN 301 549. The websites and mobile applications are not always fully accessible with the applicable standards and the above-mentioned standards due to continuous further development.

Non-accessible content on the website or mobile application

  • In some cases, the contrast between text and non-text content is too low.
  • On some pages, there are graphics and controls without accessible names or with incorrect accessible names.
  • Audio files and silent videos have no media alternative.
  • Videos do not always have subtitles and do not have an audio description or text alternative.
  • Navigation mechanisms are not always standardized within the website. Sub-appearances of the website may have different navigation menus.
  • Foreign-language terms (e.g. English words) are sometimes not correctly labeled as such and may lead to incorrect pronunciation by the screen reader.
  • Some embedded PDF documents do not fully comply with the applicable digital accessibility requirements.
  • Some embedded content comes from external providers (e.g. social media iframes) and is not under our control.

This information was created on 25.06.2025. It was based on a previous external conformity test to check the standards of WCAG 2.2 and EN 301 549.
