Coach and players were both in good moods after the game. Julian Nagelsmann: "We were very confident, even the players who came in. We had an extremely young team on the pitch by the end of the day. It's always a good feeling when you know you can make changes and don't lose out on quality. The boys have very good team spirit, they believe in themselves and you can see that on the pitch. I'm very satisfied. Inter are a good team, they have a good coach. We had two exciting games against them. In the end, both wins did the job. We have to try to take the momentum into the Bundesliga. Small details decided it, like the goal after the corner. We approached the game well and could have scored. I'm satisfied that we have qualified for the last 16."

Robin Gosens (full-back): "All in all, Bayern's victory is fine. We started the game very well and had the first two big chances. If we score there, it's a completely different game. After that, we know that Bayern have great quality. We concede an avoidable goal from a corner and another from Choupo, who's in world-class form right now. That's how you lose 2-0, even though we played well."

Stefan de Vrij (centre-back): "The main thing was to qualify for the knockout rounds and we'd already done that. However, we came here to play well. We knew it would be tough against Bayern, but we gave everything."
