A world champion handing over the spoils to a winner, in true FC Bayern style: to mark the club's 125th anniversary, every fan had a chance to win a very special prize. Anyone who bought an anniversary product - whether online or in-store - was eligible to enter a competition to win an Audi A1 in the German champions' exclusive jersey livery. The lucky winner is a 24-year-old student called Patrick who lives near Ulm. FCB Legend Raimond Aumann handed over the keys during a visit to Säbener Strasse. The motto of the competition was in keeping with the German record champions: 125 years in the fast lane.
When the anniversary jersey came out, "it was clear to me: As a fan, I simply have to have it," said the lucky winner. "Then I found out about the competition and thought to myself: how cool would it be if I really won the car? I actually couldn't lose: either I would have a great jersey or even more." When he got the news that his name had actually been drawn out, "I was speechless at first. It took me a few moments to realise what had just happened. When I saw the car “in the flesh” for the first time, I was absolutely overjoyed - it was an unforgettable moment. Thank you to FC Bayern - my club for all time." Then he drove off; and of course he was wearing the anniversary jersey for the occasion - matching the design of his new Audi and in keeping with the style of the German record champions.
