FC Bayern have secured the services of Tim Binder on a long-term basis. The German youth international has signed a professional contract through to 30 June 2030. Binder joined the FC Bayern academy from FC Augsburg at the age of 12 in 2019 and has risen through the youth ranks at the Campus.

In glorious sunshine on Tuesday morning, Bayern continued their preparations for the first Champions League game of the season against FK Bodø/Glimt on Thursday evening. Coach Vincent Kompany had a full-strength squad on the pitch for the session.

Monday saw Vincent Kompany’s team hold their first training session of the week following Sunday’s day off, with the squad back on the pitch at Säbener Straße full of vigour ahead of their opening Champions League fixture.

Bayern have another busy week ahead, starting with a rare Thursday fixture as they begin the league phase of the Champions League at home to Bodø/Glimt (21:00 CEST). There’s then a first-ever meeting with Bundesliga newcomers Elversberg on Sunday (17:30).

Kompany has scheduled five training sessions over the coming days, although Friday will only be for recovery after the Bodø/Glimt game. As ever for a Champions League match, you’ll be able to watch the first 15 minutes of pre-match training on Wednesday. Despite several good chances, Bayern had to settle for a 0-0 draw away at Schalke on Saturday evening. It was the first time since the loss to PSG in the Club World Cup in summer 2025 that the Reds had failed to score in a competitive fixture. “Maybe we lacked something at times with these big chances. We also had a quarter of an hour where our positioning wasn’t optimal and we lacked the speed in our passing to be able to hurt the opponent. Apart from that, the stats are in our favour,” said captain Manuel Neuer.

Bayern’s players held their final training session on Friday before heading off for their first away game of the Bundesliga season and first visit to Gelsenkirchen to face Schalke for over three years. Their last away meeting with the Royal Blues was a 2-0 win in November 2022, although Bayern did visit the Ruhr city in December 2024 for a Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk, winning 5-1. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Vincent Kompany insisted that Bayern cannot underestimate Schalke as a promoted side. “We have the role of favourites, but we can’t believe in it. You don’t automatically take a good performance against Osnabrück or Stuttgart with you. A match always starts from zero. Whilst the majority of the Bayern squad undertook a recovery session on Thursday following last night's cup win at Osnabrück (4–1), Serge Gnabry got out onto the pitch this morning. Alongside youth player Tim Binder, who is currently recovering from a torn muscle fibre in his right hamstring, the 31-year-old attacking midfielder continued to work on his comeback.

Harry Kane, who bagged a brace, was once again named Man of the Match in the first-round tie between VfL Osnabrück and FC Bayern. Following his hat-trick in the final against Stuttgart (3–0) in May, it means the Englishman has seamlessly continued his recent run of strong performances in the competition. The striker has scored in each of his last seven DFB Cup matches, thereby already equalling the club record set by Gerd Müller and Thomas Müller, who had also found the net in seven consecutive matches in the competition from 1967 to 1968 and 2013 to 2014 respectively. Since the founding of the Bundesliga, Dieter Müller is the only player to have bettered those stats with ten matches for 1. FC Köln from 1976 to 1977.

Despite falling behind early, FC Bayern ultimately booked their place in the DFB Cup second round in convincing style. Vincent Kompany’s side won 4-1 at Bundesliga 2 outfit VfL Osnabrück on Wednesday evening, winning their opening game in the competition for the 31st time in a row (record!). On 1 September 2018 – exactly eight years ago – Serge Gnabry made his first appearance in a competitive match for FC Bayern. Having missed the season opener through injury, the then new signing made his debut in the 3–0 win over VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena on Matchday 2. In the 77th minute, the attacking player came off the bench for Franck Ribéry, whose number 7 shirt he would go on to inherit around two years later. To date, Gnabry, who has been out of action for the Munich side since the spring due to a torn adductor muscle in his right thigh, has racked up 103 goals and 63 assists in 322 appearances for FCB – and we can expect more to follow as soon as he's fit again.

DFB Cup, Bundesliga, Champions League – the coming month will see FC Bayern in action in three different competitions. In the cup, the holders kick off their campaign on Wednesday evening at VfL Osnabrück. The centre-back, who moved to Munich from RB Leipzig, went straight into the starting line-up for the 1-1 draw at Borussia Mönchengladbach in the opening match of the 2021/22 Bundesliga campaign. Alongside the training sessions and two 2-1 friendly wins against Jeju SK and Aston Villa, the tour has been all about being close to the fans and the social responsibility, which the players and management have proven impressively at many events.

Just as they did on Jeju, Bayern took a very special souvenir photo at their second stop on the tour in Hong Kong. Using a drone, the team were photographed on a terrace at their hotel against the backdrop of the Asian metropolis’s skyline. Not too bad, is it?

One highlight during the stay in Hong Kong is certainly the Audi Football Summit against Europa League winners Aston Villa on Friday (13:00 CEST). The two clubs have met twice before in competitive fixtures – and from a Bayern point of view, the record could do with a bit of a refresher in terms of results. Both the 1982 European Cup final and the meeting in the league phase of the Champions League two years ago ended in 1-0 defeats for the Munich men.

After a quick training session in the team hotel, the Bayern squad bid farewell to Jeju on Wednesday morning and headed to the second stop on the tour. Late in the afternoon (around 10:30 German time), the team landed in Hong Kong, where they were welcomed at their base by lots of fans.

Before the action begins 9,000 kilometres away at the Audi Football Summit on Jeju, there was plenty going on back at Säbener Straße too. In Ismael Saibari, Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Serge Gnabry and Lennart Karl, a quintet of Bayern players completed an individual session at the training ground as they continue to build up their fitness.

Whilst the majority of the squad are on the Audi Summer Tour on Jeju in South Korea, Ismael Saibari, Jamal Musiala and Alphonso Davies continued their pre-season rehab programme on Monday with an individual training session at Säbener Straße.

On the eve of the Audi Football Summit at Jeju SK, FC Bayern held their final training session at the venue for tomorrow’s match. In front of around 5,000 enthusiastic fans – most of whom were wearing Bayern shirts and scarves – the Munich side spent around an hour on the pitch for the session. Prior to that, head coach Vincent Kompany and defender Minjae Kim took questions from the media at a press conference in the stadium’s main concourse. “I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s match,” revealed FC Bayern's South Korean defender.

All this week, everything at FC Bayern will revolve around the 2026 Audi Summer Tour. Vincent Kompany’s team will remain on the South Korean island of Jeju until Wednesday, where they're set to face local side Jeju SK FC in a friendly on Tuesday (4 August). The tour party will then travel to Hong Kong, where they'll conclude the tour with a friendly against Europa League winners Aston Villa (7 August). Head coach Vincent Kompany will hold a press conference both before and after the matches, and the squad will also hold an open training session at the venue ahead of each of the two friendlies.

In addition, there are numerous events and activities lined up on the tour, and we will, of course keep you up to date with these via our social media channels. After a busy week, the team will then return to Munich on Saturday morning and have the rest of the weekend off.

This morning, our team joined the coaching and support staff at the team hotel on Jeju for the team photo for the 2026 Audi Summer Tour. As always, we’ll be bringing you daily updates from the South Korean island on fcbayern.com and via the FC Bayern app.

Just a few hours after arriving on Jeju, the squad were out on the training pitch for the first time. During a session lasting just under 90 minutes in temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius, the players really worked up a sweat. Servus, Jeju Island! The FC Bayern team are a little tired after the 11-hour flight, but landed with great excitement for the South Korean volcanic island. A large crowd of Bayern fans gave a loud and enthusiastic welcome to Aleksandar Pavlović, Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich and Co. After going through passport control, the players carried out autograph and selfie duties before heading straight to the team hotel. The temperatures in the early afternoon on Jeju Island are around 30 degrees and 77% humidity.

On Saturday evening, FC Bayern departed for Jeju. On the first stop of this year’s Audi Summer Tour, the Munich men will take part in training sessions and a number of other events as well as an Audi Football Summit against South Korean top-flight outfit Jeju SK (Tuesday, 13:00 CEST). Then on Wednesday 5 August it’s on to Hong Kong, where FCB meet English Premier League club Aston Villa in another Audi Football Summit on Friday 7 August (14:00 CEST). Before FC Bayern set off on the 10th Audi Summer Tour on Saturday night, Vincent Kompany’s team held another training session at Säbener Straße. Also back on the pitch were Luis Díaz, Konrad Laimer und Josip Stanišić, who have joined pre-season in time for the start of the tour.

1 August 2011 marked the beginning of an era. In the first round of the DFB Cup away to Eintracht Braunschweig, Manuel Neuer pulled on the Bayern jersey in a competitive match for the first time. The fact the goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in the 3-0 victory against the then third-tier side was a sign of things to come. The five-time World’s Best Goalkeeper now stands at 598 competitive appearances for the German record champions, in which he’s conceded well under one goal per game on average (499 in total) – an incredible figure!

It’s a busy month ahead for Bayern as the season edges closer. It starts this evening when the Bavarians embark on the Audi Summer Tour to South Korea and Hong Kong, where two friendlies against Jeju SK and Europa League winners Aston Villa are on the agenda along with several events and training sessions until 8 August. Midway through the month (15 August), the defending double winners play their final friendly against Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig before the first competitive fixture on 22 August: the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup against Borussia Dortmund. Just six days later (28 August), Vincent Kompany’s men open the 64th Bundesliga season at home to VfB Stuttgart.

Bayern fans should also have 27 August marked in their calendars, as that’s when the draw for the Champions League league phase will take place in Nyon, Switzerland. Two members of the squad also celebrate birthdays this month in Sven Ulreich (3 August, 38) and Jonas Urbig (8 August, 23).

After three intensive days of trainings, Bayern took it a bit easier on Thursday morning. Instead of a session on the pitch, the Munich boys went for a walk around Lake Tegernsee before getting ready for this evening’s friendly against FC Rottach-Egern with some strength exercises in the garden of the team hotel.

14-1, 27-0, 23-0, 20-2 – previous encounters between FC Bayern and next friendly opponents FC Rottach-Egern have always been one-sided affairs due to the gulf between the two clubs. Nevertheless, the fixture is always special and memorable for the players of the Tegernsee club – especially if, like Tobias Schlichtner in the last meeting, they get to score a goal.

“Crazy, I still can’t quite believe it,” said the forward at the time. “This is my fourth time playing against Bayern and you always go into it with the hope of scoring goal. The fact it’s now happened is really crazy.” Schlichtner will be involved again in tomorrow’s rematch – we’ll see if he can make his mark again.

FC Bayern’s new signing Nathaniel Brown was officially presented to the media at a press conference on Wednesday, where he outlined his ambitions with the Munich club. “I want to play as many matches as possible, help the team and ultimately win trophies,” explained the 23-year-old. FC Bayern held their third and final open session at the training camp at Tegernsee on Wednesday morning. The Sportplatz Birkenmoos was well filled as fans once again watched Vincent Kompany’s team at work – read all about it below:

Coach Vincent Kompany could greet a few more new faces in the afternoon training session in Rottach-Egern. The majority of the internationals who played in the World Cup in North America this summer were back, watched again by around 3,000 fans. Among them were Nathaniel Brown, who had the pleasure of his first full training session as an FC Bayern player. More on that here:

While the majority of the World Cup returnees were still completing performance tests on Tuesday morning, the second day at the training camp at Tegernsee began with a session on the pitch at the Sportplatz Birkenmoos for the rest of the group. After the warm-up and a quick strength workout in the fitness test, the boys headed out onto the grass. Among them was Alphonso Davies, who already completed his performance tests in Munich and has now joined the team.

Wishing a happy birthday to Harry Kane! The England captain is currently enjoying a well-earned break after finishing third at the World Cup, so he has plenty of time to celebrate his 33rd birthday. We wish him all the best and take a quick look at his numbers from last season again: at the age of 33, the striker is clearly in the form of his life. Kane scored a whopping 73 goals in 66 games for club and country last season, far more than any other forward in the world. In second place – by some distance – is Kylian Mbappé with 59 goals in 63 matches.

Bayern were given a warm welcome by fans at the start of their training camp at Tegernsee on Monday. During the first open training session in the afternoon, around 2,000 of the record champions' supporters lined the pitch in Rottach-Egern. The team expressed their gratitude for the support and took time out to pose for selfies and sign autographs throughout the training session.

Following their well-earned holidays, the first World Cup participants are back at FC Bayern. On Monday, Manuel Neuer, Joshua Kimmich, Minjae Kim and their teammates underwent thorough medicals and performance diagnostics tests before they join up with the squad on Tuesday at the Tegernsee training camp. Head coach Vincent Kompany now has the majority of his squad back together again. Only a small group including Harry Kane, Michael Oise and others – who were in action for longer at the World Cup in North America – as well as the players currently still undergoing rehab are still absent and will only be reintegrated into training at a later date. Whilst the first-team players who have been back in action since last week will head straight to the training camp at Tegernsee at the start of the week, the first of the returning World Cup participants still have their medicals and performance diagnostics tests to undergo on Monday and Tuesday. From Tuesday afternoon, the squad will then train at Tegernsee alongside the first World Cup returnees.

A total of six training sessions (three of which will be open to fans) are planned during the training camp, culminating in a friendly against local side FC Rottach-Egern on Thursday evening (18.00 CEST). New signing Nathaniel Brown will also be unveiled to the media during the team’s stay at Tegernsee. After returning to Munich late on Thursday evening, everyone will have Friday off before the squad set off on the 2026 Audi Summer Tour to Jeju (South Korea) and Hong Kong on Saturday.

In the 2-1 friendly defeat at SV Wehen Wiesbaden, FC Bayern fielded an extremely young side: the starting XI consisted of players from the reserves, the U19s and the U17s, with an average age of just 17.6 years. On Friday, the FC Bayern players had their final training session before Saturday’s friendly at Wehen Wiesbaden. In beautiful weather, the Munich men got into gear for the clash with the third-division outfit, whose campaign already begins in around two weeks and are therefore considerably further ahead in their pre-season preparations than FCB. Following Wednesday’s day off, Vincent Kompany’s side took to the pitch on Thursday for their next training session in preparation for their opening friendly in Wiesbaden (Saturday, 15.30 CEST). Alongside numerous youth players, Tom Bischof, João Palhinha, Sacha Boey, Arijon Ibrahimović and Sven Ulreich from the first-team squad took part in the session.

There are just two days to go until Bayern play the first friendly of their pre-season preparations, which are still in the early stages. The game at SV Wehen Wiesbaden is being held to mark the third-division side’s centenary. Despite the rich history of both clubs, however, the two sides have met just once before in a competitive match – and it wasn't that long ago. Last season, the two sides met at the same venue in the first round of the DFB Cup, with Bayern winning 3-2 in a closely fought encounter and taking the first step towards their eventual cup triumph.

After the intensive start to pre-season with performance tests and the first session on the pitch, the Bayern players have been given the day off today before preparations for the first friendly of the summer against Wehen Wiesbaden (Saturday, 15:30 CEST) begin on Thursday. 

However, that didn’t stop Serge Gnabry and Lennart Karl from putting in a little extra shift on Wednesday. The attacking duo suffered injuries in recent months and have been working towards their return to full training ever since.

Bayern’s players had the second part of their performance diagnostics on Tuesday morning before Tom Bischof and his teammates finally got to take to the pitch for the first time in pre-season. Joined by several youth players, Vincent Kompany oversaw an hour-long session at Säbener Straße.

Jonathan Tah will wear 4 at the tournaments in Canada, Mexico and USA, Aleksandar Pavlović has been given 5, captain Joshua Kimmich is number 6, Leon Goretzka will wear the No. 8 he’s worn for Bayern, Jamal Musiala is number 10 and Lennart Karl will take part in his first World Cup with 25 on his back.

FC Bayern will meet Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup. The competition normally pits the defending Bundesliga champions and DFB Cup winners against each other – but because the Munich club completed the double on Saturday, they will play the league runners-up. The fixture will take place on Saturday 22 August 2026, with the venue still to be confirmed.

The triumph in the DFB Cup final brings to an end a season for FC Bayern that showed how great the spirit is in this team and this club – and that this ‘Mia san mia’ feeling is ultimately reflected in remarkable successes. The Munich boys won 46 out of 55 competitive matches in this campaign – an equalled club record. The German record champions only previously celebrated that many victories in the 2012/13 treble season.

Bayern have capped off an outstanding season by winning the domestic double. Harry Kane’s hat-trick in Berlin earned a 3-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart to lift the DFB Cup for the first time in six years and kickstart the celebrations in the capital.

Even on a public holiday in Germany, there was busy activity on the training pitch at Säbener Straße as Harry Kane and Co continued preparations for the final match of the Bundesliga season at home to Köln on Saturday. Vincent Kompany’s team will hold one more training session on Friday.

After three days off, Bayern begun preparations for the final Bundesliga match of the season at home to 1. FC Köln on Wednesday. Following the final whistle on Saturday afternoon, the Munich men will be presented with the club’s 35th Meisterschale – but there won’t be too much time for celebration. The following week, Bayern are battling it out for the DFB Cup in the final against VfB Stuttgart (23 May).

Sven Jablonski has been confirmed as the referee for the 83rd DFB Cup final at Monday’s cup handover ceremony in Berlin. It will be the 36-year-old’s first time officiating in the final, when Bayern face VfB Stuttgart at the Olympiastadion on 23 May.

With 33 out of 34 games played, Bayern are top of the Bundesliga pile and can look forward to receiving the trophy at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.

FC Bayern remain an unstoppable force on the road. The 1-0 win at Wolfsburg on Saturday extended the Bavarians’ unbeaten run away from home in the Bundesliga to 26 games (W20, D6). Only between 2012 and 2014 did the German record champions put together a longer run on their travels (33 games). What’s more, FCB have completed a Bundesliga campaign without an away defeat for the third time in the club’s history – a feat previously achieved in the 1986/87 and 2012/23 seasons.

Just four days after the painful exit in the Champions League, it was about showing a reaction in the Bundesliga. Confirmed as champions for weeks, Bayern travelled to Wolfsburg, who are battling against relegation right up to the final day. After a poor first half, in which Jonas Urbig excelled between the posts for Bayern, the Reds managed to take control of the game and ran out deserved 1-0 winners in the end, Michael Olise scoring a brilliant goal.

Alphonso Davies suffered a muscle injury in his left hamstring during Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Paris Saint-Germain

Harry Kane is chasing down his next record at FC Bayern. His equaliser in the 1–1 draw in the semi-final second leg against PSG on Wednesday evening was his 55th goal in his 48th competitive match this season. It means the England captain has equalled the club record set by Robert Lewandowski, who also scored 55 goals in the 2019/20 season – in 47 games. Kane now has three competitive matches remaining to take sole possession of the top spot among Bayern’s all-time single-season goalscorers.

Bayern fought to the end, but in the end the 1-1 draw in the semi-final second leg against PSG was not enough after the 5-4 defeat eight days ago. “It was close, really close – both games. We have to acknowledge that we played against great opponents,” said head coach Vincent Kompany at  full time – and immediately looked ahead. “It goes on. The Champions League is over for us for now, but there’ll be more moments, more opportunities and that’s also great motivation for me.”

Michael Olise, Jamal Musiala and the rest of the team were out on the pitch at Säbener Straße on Wednesday morning for their activation session ahead of the evening’s big game against PSG.

The German champions are naturally well represented in the vote for Bundesliga Player of the Season. No fewer than seven Bayern players are among the 11 nominees for the coveted award: they are Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Aleksandar Pavlović, Harry Kane, Joshua Kimmich, Michael Olise and Luis Díaz.

Fans can of course choose their favourite, with the fan votes making up 40 percent of the overall result. The rest comes from the captains of the 18 Bundesliga clubs and a panel of experts (30 percent each).

After a day off from training on Sunday, Bayern resumed their preparations for the second leg against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final at the start of the week. “We have two days in which we’ll prepare intensively so that we can go into Wednesday’s match feeling really fresh. On Wednesday, everyone will give 100 percent in the challenges and be fully focused. We know that we’re up against a high-quality side,” sporting director Christoph Freund announced on Saturday after the home match against Heidenheim. The Munich side went about their training session on Monday with that level of focus.

João Pinheiro of Portugal will take charge of Wednesday’s second leg against PSG. The 38-year-old has previously overseen two Bayern fixtures in the Champions League with the 2-1 win at PSV Eindhoven at the end of this season’s league phase and the 3-2 victory at Slovak Bratislava last term. Bruno Jesus and Luciano Maia will be his assistants. Espen Eskås of Norway is the fourth official. Italy’s Marco Di Bello is the VAR.

Michael Olise has been voted as the Champions League’s Player of the Week after his winning goal against Real Madrid on Wednesday, beating PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé, Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi and Dani Olmo of Barcelona to the UEFA award.

FC Bayern have been virtually unbeatable this season, recording an impressive 40 wins and four draws in 46 competitive matches so far in 2025/26, with only two games lost. This means the record champions have suffered fewer defeats at this point in the season than at any time since their promotion to the Bundesliga in 1965 - proof of the exceptional consistency and stability of this Bayern side.

Only a few hours to go! The FC Bayern squad completed the customary light training session at Säbener Straße on Wednesday morning ahead of the eagerly anticipated Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid tonight.

While his colleagues prepare for the Champions League clash with Real Madrid (Wednesday, 21:00 CEST), Sven Ulreich continues his recovery work. The 37-year-old goalkeeper completed an individual session with the ball on Tuesday morning. Ulreich sustained a groin tear in the Bundesliga match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen in mid-March. 

Good news from the FC Bayern training pitch: Serge Gnabry, who missed the 5-0 away win at St. Pauli due to a slight knee problem, has returned to team training. Two days before the crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid, the Munich men began their preparations for the clash at the Allianz Arena on Monday. Gnabry set up Luis Díaz's 1-0 opener in the 2-1 first-leg win in Madrid.

English official Michael Oliver has been appointed for the first leg of FC Bayern's Champions League quarter-final at Real Madrid. A light jogging session for Dayot Upamecano at Säbener: The FC Bayern defender completed a relaxed individual running session on Wednesday, on what was actually a training-free day, after returning from international duty. Upamecano was shown a straight red card after 52 minutes of France's 2-1 friendly win over Brazil so didn't feature in Sunday's clash with Colombia. More internationals are expected to return to training at the club's training ground tomorrow. Next up for FC Bayern is the Bundesliga match at SC Freiburg on Saturday.

FC Bayern completed an open training session on Tuesday morning. As it's the Easter holidays, scores of the record champions' fans took the opportunity to watch their idols being put through their paces. At the end of the first preparation session ahead of Saturday's Bundesliga game at SC Freiburg, the FCB players naturally also took time to hand out autographs and pose for selfies with their fans. Manuel Neuer and Raphaël Guerreiro trained alongside some of the youth players, while Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala and Aleksandar Pavlović also completed parts of the team session. The players away on international duty will return to training in the coming days.

Good news from Säbener Straße: Keeper Jonas Urbig returned to individual training on the pitch today after coming back early from international duty. Three FC Bayern players were in action for their national teams on Saturday. While Nicolas Jackson's goal helped Senegal to a 2-0 win over Peru and Hiroki Ito featured in Japan's 1-0 win over Scotland, Minjae Kim and the South Korean national team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Côte d'Ivoire. Konrad Laimer was officially crowned Austria's Footballer of the Year in Vienna on Friday evening. Before the match between the Austrian national team and Ghana (5-1) kicked off, the FC Bayern midfielder was presented with the trophy by the Austria Press Agency (APA) on the pitch.

The vote for Footballer of the Year, one of the most prestigious honours in Austrian football, had already taken place in December. Laimer came out on top in the poll of the 12 coaches in the Austrian Bundesliga. Following in the footsteps of David Alaba, Laimer is only the second FC Bayern player to have received this award.

While many of his teammates are currently away on international duty with their national teams, Aleksandar Pavlović is continuing to work on his comeback at Säbener Straße. The 21-year-old FC Bayern midfielder, who didn't join up with national team coach Julian Nagelsmann's squad due to hip problems, completed an individual session with the ball on Saturday morning.

Lennart Karl could make his senior debut for Germany in the upcoming friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana. And if he does, he’ll wear the number 25 on his back, which was also worn by former and current teammates Thomas Müller and Aleksandar Pavlović when they made their Germany debuts. Jonas Urbig, who’s also been called up to the senior squad for the first time, has been given the number 21 shirt.

No one has been assigned the symbol number 10 jersey, which Jamal Musiala recently took on for the German side. The Bayern attacker has sat out the current international break because of a painful reaction in the ankle that he injured last summer.

For the German national team and captain Joshua Kimmich, the first training session ahead of the two friendlies against Switzerland and Ghana took place on Tuesday. “The aim is to get two positive results,” said Kimmich at a press conference. Looking ahead to the World Cup this summer, the Bayern star continued: “In the end it’s not about having the best squad in the world, but having the best team in the world. And we’re working on that, everyone has to follow. Everyone has to be aware that they have to give everything for the team, and then you don’t need the best squad in the world to win matches.”

Bayern fans have the chance to watch the team train in person next Tuesday, 31 March, as the squad hold an open training at Säbener Straße from 10:30 CEST. Vincent Kompany’s men will be preparing for the season’s final run-in across the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Champions League. FC Bayern rounded off preparations for the clash against Atalanta with an intensive training session on Tuesday afternoon. The Bavarians host the North Italians in the second leg of the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday night (21:00 CET). After a training-free day on Wednesday, when the Bayern players had a bit of time to truly enjoy the 6-1 first-leg success at Atalanta, it was back to work for Vincent Kompany’s team on Thursday. FIFA referee Sven Jablonski will take charge of Saturday’s Klassiker between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern. The Bremen native has impressed recently with assured performances in the Champions League. He also refereed last season’s encounter in Dortmund (1-1) with a clear line and has been involved with both teams this season.

Undeterred by the persistent rain in Munich, Bayern continued their preparations on Tuesday morning for this weekend's top-of-the-table Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, 18.30 CET). Chilly February temperatures at Säbener Straße didn't deter numerous supporters of the record champions from attending the first team's open training session. Five days before the Bundesliga home game and the matchday's standout fixture against TSG Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena, plenty of spectators watched Vincent kompany's side being put through their paces in an intensive session.

What was particularly pleasing was that Konrad Laimer completed parts of the team training session again for the first time after tearing a muscle fibre in his calf. Harry Kane, on the other hand, has a cold and was absent.

The programme for the Munich men included some simulated match practice before Manuel Neuer and his teammates signed autographs and, of course, once again fulfilled the fans' numerous requests for selfies.

After two days without training, FC Bayern began preparations for the Bundesliga match against TSG Hoffenheim (Sunday, 17:30 CET) on Tuesday morning. Harry Kane sat out the session at Säbener Straße due to illness.

Friday at Bayern was all about preparations for the away game at Hamburg – a match that is not an ordinary one for coach Vincent Kompany. “HSV remains a special story for me, but so does Hamburg as a city. Anyone who has lived there knows what a special city it is,” he recalled during his press conference, thinking back to his time as a young player in northern Germany. As a promoted team, his former club is “undergoing reconstruction” but “has the potential to be a huge club,” said Kompany, who also warned of HSV’s home form. “I expect a team that will fight for points, that knows this is an important phase of the season and also believes it can achieve something at home. Servus, Konni! While his teammates were still on the way back from Eindhoven, Konrad Laimer was already working hard on his comeback in Munich. The Austrian had torn a muscle fibre in his left calf in the Bundesliga away game at 1. FC Köln (3-1) in the middle of the month and had been out of action ever since. He was now able to complete an individual session on the pitch with the ball for the first time.

After some fine link-up play, Lennart Karl set up the opener for his teammate Jamal Musiala in Eindhoven. It was the 17-year-old's fourth goal involvement in the Champions League (three goals, one assist). Only one other player racked up more goal contributions in this competition before his 18th birthday than Karl - Barcelona's Lamine Yamal had ten.

FC Bayern successfully wrapped up the league phase of the Champions League with a 2-1 away win at PSV Eindhoven. By finishing second in the final table, the Munich side have qualified directly for the round of 16, where they will face either Atalanta, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund or Olympiacos.  Bayern will also enjoy home advantage in the second leg of each of the knockout rounds.

"Today we once again saw a side that impressed as a team and where everyone fights for everyone else," said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen in his post-match banquet speech. "The most important thing we've achieved with the second-place finish is home advantage for all the second legs in the knockout stage. And hopefully we'll have a few more knockout games."

Dreesen also gave Jamal Musiala and Jonas Urbig a special mention in his speech. "I was really pleased for you, Jamal. To score the opener on your return to the starting XI after your long injury means you get a special round of applause," said Dreesen to Musiala. Harry Kane more than earned his Man of the Match accolade with his brace in the 2-0 win over Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. It was the 30th time he had scored at least twice in a game for Bayern. Since the start of the 2023/24 season, only Kylian Mbappé has been able to match him in Europe's top five leagues. It was also the striker's 12th brace in the Champions League (seven for Bayern, five for Spurs) – at least twice as many as any other English player in the competition (Wayne Rooney managed six).

Just one day after their 3-1 away win at 1. FC Köln to wrap up the first half of the season, FC Bayern are already focusing on their next task. There's an absolute cracker in store this coming Saturday with an away game at RB Leipzig. On Thursday, the players who didn't feature in the game in Cologne completed a training session at Säbener Straße.

It was hard work, but in the end Bayern claimed a deserved 3-1 victory at Köln on Wednesday evening. With that, the Munich men have set a new record at the halfway point of the Bundesliga season: with 47 points and a goal difference of +53, Vincent Kompany’s side have completed the best first half of a campaign in the history of the German top flight. The previous record was set by FCB under Pep Guardiola in 2013/14, when they had 47 points and a goal difference of +35 after 17 matchdays. On Tuesday afternoon, FC Bayern held their final training session before heading to 1. FC Köln for their Bundesliga match. A win there would see the German record champions complete the best Bundesliga Hinrunde in history. If the Munich men can put in a performance similar to their recent 8-1 win over Wolfsburg, they have a good chance of doing so: "I hope we can keep this up for a while longer. But what the lads showed on Sunday is not normal, we mustn't forget that. However, the motivation is there, we want to see how far we can go with this form," explained head coach Vincent Kompany in the morning press conference ahead of the match. After the 8-1 win against Wolfsburg, Vincent Kompany now has an average of 2.52 points per game after 50 Bundesliga matches. This is the joint-best points average for a coach in the history of the Bundesliga, alongside former FCB coach Pep Guardiola. When asked about the record, however, the Belgian remained modest: "These aren't my points, they're the players' points," said Kompany.

Happy 29th birthday, Luis Díaz!

‘Lucho’ is a Colombian forward who has been under contract with FC Bayern since 2025. He’s at home both on the left wing and in the centre of the attack and impresses with his explosive acceleration, high-intensity running and oustanding dribbling skills.

The Colombian started playing football in his hometown of Barrancas, where he turned professional before moving to Europe to join Porto in the summer of 2019. After three years there, during which he scored 41 goals in 125 competitive appearances and won the double in Portugal in 2020, he joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022. He made 148 competitive appearances (41 goals) for the legendary English club, celebrating victory in the FA Cup in 2022 and the Premier League title in 2025.

Díaz made his debut for the Colombian national team on 12 September 2018 in a friendly against Argentina (0-0). The forward is now a mainstay in the Los Cafeteros squad. He helped Colombia to a third-place finish at the 2021 Copa América and was the tournament's top scorer (four goals). He even reached the final with Colombia at the 2024 Copa América, but lost 1-0 to Argentina in extra time.

While the squad had Monday off from training, Joshua Kimmich was out on the pitch at Säbener Straße working hard in the snow as he looks to get back to full fitness after a recent ankle issue.

Harry’s sublime strike to make it 6-1 against Wolfsburg took his personal tally for the Bundesliga campaign to 20 goals, meaning he has reached that total in all three of his season’s in Germany. That equals a 60-year record, as the only other player in the Bundesliga’s existence to have ever scored 20 goals or more in their first three campaigns was Timo Konietzka, achieved in the league’s very first three seasons in 1963/64, 1964/65 and 1965/66.

Sunday’s brilliant 8-1 win over Wolfsburg took Bayern up to 44 points, now 11 clear of Borussia Dortmund (33) at the top of the Bundesliga table. However, third-placed RB Leipzig (29) and Hoffenheim in sixth (27) have a game in hand after their fixtures at the weekend got called off, so there could still be some movement at the top end.

Nicolas Jackson is in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal. However, the FC Bayern player didn't feature in the 1-0 (1-0) quarter-final win over Mali in Tangier, Morocco. Iliman Ndiaye scored the winner for Senegal in the 27th minute, and after Mali's Yves Bissouma was sent off after being shown a second yellow card (45+3') just before the break, Senegal played with a one-man advantage for the whole of the second half. In the semi-finals, the Lions of Teranga will now face the winner of next Wednesday's match between Egypt and the Ivory Coast.

Harry Kane has won yet another award: the FC Bayern striker was voted Bundesliga Player of the Month for December by fans and experts alike. The Englishman's credentials included an impressive five goals in three Bundesliga appearances last month. He also set a fabulous record shortly before Christmas, scoring his 100th goal contribution in the competition in just 78 games in a 4-0 win in Heidenheim. No other player has ever achieved a feat like that so quickly!

On Thursday, numerous fans once again flocked to Säbener Straße to watch the FC Bayern players during their first open training session of the year. The record champions' supporters not only got to see an intense training session, but also enjoyed collecting plenty of autographs and taking selfies with their Bayern idols.

It’s that time again today: the FC Bayern players and management are swarming out this afternoon to meet different fan clubs of the German record champions. Board member for sport Max Eberl already kicked off this special tradition in December when he visited the Rollwagerl 93 e.V. fan club.

After some short mid-season prep with just one friendly against Red Bull Salzburg (6 January), FC Bayern kick off their Bundesliga campaign on Sunday, 11 January with a home game against VfL Wolfsburg. At the end of the month, they'll play last two matches of the Champions League group stage against Royal Union Saint-Gilloise (21 January) and PSV Eindhoven (28 January), in which the Munich men will be looking to secure direct qualification to the round of 16.

Ten-man Senegal beat Benin 3-0 on Tuesday to win group D of the Africa Cup of Nations. Senegal and FCB forward Nicolas Jackson, who did not play, took the lead when Abdoulaye Seck scored in the 38^th minute. Habib Diallo made it two after the restart (62’) before captain Kalidou Koulibaly received his marching orders for a rough challenge. Cherif Ndiaye rounded off the scoreline from the penalty spot in added time (90’+7). Jackson & Co. will face a team who finished their group in third place in the round of 16.

In the second group match of the Africa Cup of Nations, FCB striker Nicolas Jackson and the Senegalese national team drew 1-1 with the Democratic Republic of Congo. In Tangier, Morocco, Jackson and Co. fell behind in the 61st minute after a goal from Cedric Bakambu before former Bayern player Sadio Mané equalised in the 69th minute. After his brace in the first match against Botswana (3-0), Jackson was once again named in the starting XI and came off in the 82nd minute. Ahead of the final group match against Benin, Senegal top Group D with four points ahead of DR Congo (4 points), Benin (3) and Botswana (0).

A perfect start to the Africa Cup of Nations for Nicolas Jackson! The FC Bayern forward and Senegal beat Botswana 3-0 in Tuesday’s first group match. Jackson bagged a brace and played a key role in the victory in Tangier, Morocco. The 24-year-old started and was subbed off in the 78^th minute. Jackson & Co. face DR Congo in the second group match on Saturday.

Following the friendly at Red Bull Salzburg on 6 January, FC Bayern will resume their Bundesliga campaign with a home game against VfL Wolfsburg on 11 January.

Happy birthday, Rapha! The Portugal international player turns 32 today.

Raphaël Guerreiro joined FC Bayern from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer in the summer of 2023. During his seven years with the Black and Yellows, the versatile left-footed player made 224 competitive appearances (40 goals) and won the DFB Cup twice (2017 and 2021). However, the Portugal international's footballing roots lie in France: after spells with his boyhood club Blanc-Mesnil SF, at INF Clairefontaine, the French Football Federation's national training centre, and at SM Caen, he made his Ligue 1 debut for FC Lorient in the summer of 2013.

However, Guerreiro later opted to play for his father's homeland and made his debut for the Portuguese national team in November 2014. He won the European Championship with them in France in 2016 and secured the UEFA Nations League title three years later.

With less than five days to go until the last match of 2025, Alphonso Davies and his teammates had to kick into high gear once again during Wednesday's training session and muster their last reserves of energy to ensure a strong finish to the season on Sunday at 1. FC Heidenheim. In addition to some sprinting drills, Vincent Kompany's team also undertook various match simulation exercises. Bayern’s boss has been presented with the Raymond Goethals Trophy as the best Belgian coach of the last year. Kompany beat Nicky Hayen (formerly of Club Brugge) and Sébastien Pocognoli (formerly of Union Saint-Gilloise, now with Monaco), who shared second place. It’s the first time that a Bayern coach has won the award.

“It’s an incredible honour. This award means a lot to me – even more so when you see the names of previous winners and the history associated with this trophy. Raymond is still a role model for every Belgian coach and also those beyond our borders,” the 39-year-old said in a video message at the ceremony.

Striker Nicolas Jackson played his final Bayern game of 2025 against Mainz on Sunday. Today he left Munich to join up with the Senegal squad as they prepare to compete at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, which begins on 21 December. Senegal, who won the continental title in 2022, kick off against Botswana on 23 December. “We hope he goes as far as possible. You shouldn’t underestimate how important this tournament is for African players,” Vincent Kompany said after the draw with Mainz.

It’s a quiet day at Säbener Straße with the squad given the day off following yesterday's win over St. Pauli and with a short turnaround time until Wednesday’s next game away at Union Berlin in the DFB Cup.

From Bayern Women, Alara Şehitler in the U19 category (2006) and Luzie Zähringer (2008) in the U17 category were both awarded gold, while Marie Gmeineder picked up the bronze in the U17s.
